Buonasera a tutti. Era da un bel pezzo che attendevamo un evento che vedesse impegnata la Royal Couple al completo. Si perchè a parte la passeggiatina mano nella mano dopo la essa di natale William e Kate avevano portato avanti un calendario di impegni ufficiali ben distinto.  Che si dessero il cambio nell'accudire il loro piccolo George? Forse. Fatto sta che dopo le molte polemiche sulla scelta della coppia di regalarsi l'ennesima vacanza prima delle fatiche del prossimo Royal Tour erano in molti oggi ad attenderli "al varco" per la St Patrick's Day Parade.

Good evening everyone. It was quite a while we were waiting for an event that involved the Royal Couple together. Yes, because apart from the stroll hand in hand after the Christmas Service, William and Kate had brought forward a distinct schedule of official engagements lately. Perhaps to look after to their little George? Maybe. The fact is that after a lot of controversy about the choice of the couple to leave for another holiday before the heavy duties of the next Royal Tour many of us were waiting to see them together today for the St Patrick's Day Parade.

Per quasi quarant'anni è stata la Regina Madre a presentare ai reggimenti il ramo di trifoglio mentre dal 2012 questo compito sembra essere a completo appannaggio della Duchessa di Cambridge nota in Irlanda del Nord col titolo di Baronessa Carrickfergus. (St Patrick's Day 2013)

Kate e William sono apparsi davvero in ottima forma: abbronzati, rilassati e per tutta la durata della cerimonia si sono scambiati sorrisi e sguardi complici. Per loro, al di la della pressione mediatica e degli impegni ufficiali, questo dev'essere un periodo davvero magico. Sono una coppia giovane ed innamorata per di più benedetta dalla nascita del loro piccolo principino che, come accennato nello scorso post, li accompagnerà nel loro primo Royal "Family" Tour in Australia e Nuova Zelanda il prossimo aprile

Kate and William have appeared in really good shape: tanned and relaxed, for the whole ceremony they exchanged eachother smiles and accomplices glances. For them, despite the pressure of the media and of official commitments, this must be a really magical moment. They are a young couple in love and  blessed by the birth of their little prince who, as mentioned in my last post, will join them on their first Royal "Family" tour in Australia and New Zealand next month

Nel week-end sono anche circolate voci su un loro avvistamento nel Berkshire, nei pressi della tenuta dei Middleton, mentre si dedicavano ad un po di shopping. 
In the weekend there were also rumors of a sighting of them in Berkshire, near the estate of Middleton, while they were engaged in a bit of shopping.

Le attese delle fashion followers della duchessa erano tutte concentrate sulla mise che avrebbe scelto Kate: dopo due anni consecutivi in cui ha indossato lo stesso cappotto, quest'anno tutti speravano in un nuovo look e le aspettative non sono andate deluse...o forse solo un pochino.
The expectations of fashion followers of the Duchess were all focused on the outfit that Kate would choose: after two years in a row while she had worn the same coat, this year, everyone were hoping for a new look and the expectations were not disappointed ... or maybe just a little. 

Si perchè se è vero che Kate ha finalmente scelto un nuovo cappotto, rigorosamente green, è anche vero che la scelta è sta alquanto deludente. Il  suo Hobbs London Persephone Trench Coat scontato a £195 non ha convinto tutti...no me per lo meno. L'ho trovato davvero pesante, massiccio e quasi militaresco: niente a che vedere coi soliti cappottini sciancrati e femminili a cui siamo abituati.  Detto ciò vorrei sottolineare che Kate è comunque bellissima, alta e in forma e capace di valorizzare anche il capo più insignificante. Detto ciò non posso però nascondere il mio live (lievissimo) disappunto.
Yes, because if it is true that Kate has finally chosen a new coat, strictly green, it is also true that the choice has been somewhat disappointing. Her  Hobbs London Persephone Trench Coat on sale £195  has not convinced everyone ... not me at least. I found it really heavy, massive and almost military: nothing to do with the usual waisted and femminine coats we are used to. However I would like also to point out that Kate is still beautiful, tall, fit and capable of enhancing even the most insignificant dress. Besides that, however, I can not hide my little (very little) disappointment.

Kate ha scelto tutti accessori in tinta questa volta: ha sfoggiato per la seconda volta dopo Natale, il delizioso cappellino verde firmato Gina Foster, la spilla a forma di trifoglio proprietà del reggimento e concessa in prestito alle donne della Famiglia Reale (in passato fu indossata dalla regina Madre e dalla principessa Anna) e i bellissimi orecchini di ametista di Kiki McDonough.
Kate chose all accessories in the same matching color: she wore for the second time after Christmas, the lovely  Gina Foster's green hat, the clover-shaped brooch owned by the Regiment and loaned to the women of the Royal Family (in the past it was worn by the Queen Mother and Princess Anne) and the beautiful amethyst earrings by  Kiki McDonough.

Per quest'anno la duchessa ha anche scelto delle nuove e bellissime scarpe verde scuro firmate Emmy da £400. L'aggettivo "bellissime" è dovuto anche al fatto che ne possiedo un paio assolutamente identico acquistate dalla sottoscritta, per puro caso, qualche mese fa da abbinare ad un delizioso abito verde firmato Camaieu: per una volta ho anticipato la nostra Kate :-)
This year, the Duchess also chose a brand new and beautiful pair of shoes: the £400 Emmy's dark green pumps. The "beautiful" is also due to the fact that I own a pair of totally identical shoes purchased, by chance, a few months ago to combine with a lovely green Camaieu dress: for once I anticipated our Kate :-)

In ogni caso Kate oggi era davvero radiosa e bella come il sole: sembra essersi finalmente ripresa dalla fatiche dei primi mesi di maternità e aver ritrovato il suo solito splendore.

In any case, Kate today was really beautiful and radiant and she seems to have finally recovered from the hardships of the early months of motherhood and have regained her usual glow.

Era il quarto impegno della settimana per la duchessa di Cambridge che dopo le visite formali dei giorni scorsi ha partecipato ad una giornata di addestramento scout nel campo Great Tower di Newby Bridge, Cumbria.

Kate, appassionata di scouting, si è davvero molto divertita nonostante il clima gelido e la neve che l'hanno anche costretta ad un cambio di programma: la duchessa è giunta sul posto via treno e non via elicottero come precedentemente stabilito.

During tha day with the scouts, Kate has participated in various activities such as light a camp fire or make cakes  ​​with flour, water and sugar to be cooked in the field. The Duchess has a passion for volunteering with the boy scouts and has often attended meetings in Welsh base near the house of Anglesey where she and William lived until after the wedding.

Dopo aver trascorso una romantica serata finalmente privata sull'isola di Tavanipupu con tanto di snorkelling  notturno, oggi la coppia ha raggiunto l'aeroporto di Honiara, ed hanno salutato la Malesia.
After a very romantic, and finally private, evening in the Islaand of Tavanipupu, whe the couple had the chance to enjoy a night snorkelling in the marvellous water of Solomon Islands, today they reached the Hooniara Airport and said goodbye to Malaysia.
