Come annunciato nei giorni scorsi oggi la Duchessa di Cambridge ha visitato la Willows Primary School di Manchester. La visita ha seguita di pochissimi giorni  un grave atto vandalico che ha distrutto il cortile della scuola, ricostruito a tempo di record giusto in tempo per la visita della nostra Kate.
As announced the Duchess of Cambridge visited today the Willows Primary School of Manchester. The  school which suffered devastation after it was attacked by arsonists just hours after news of her trip was announced, thank's to the hard work of the community, the damages school playground has been rebuilt ontime for the Royal Visit.

La visita di oggi è parte dell'impegno della Duchessa come madrina dell'Associazione Action on Addiction: la Willows primary Scholl è infatti un istituto che da supporto ai figli di tossicodipendenti.
Today visit is part of her Royal Highness duty as patron of Action on Addiction: the Willows primary School counselling a programme that provides support for those affected by parental drug/alcohol abuse.

Kate ha anche tenuto un discorso elogiando l'importante ruolo di Action on Addiction nel sostenere i figli nati da genitori tossicodipendenti bambini che hanno un rischio 7 volte maggiore di diventare tossicodipendenti in futuro.

Kate è apparsa come sempre sorridente e alla mano anche se in serata, all'arrivo alla stazione londinese di Euston, la nostra Duchessa ha tradito un po di stanchezza.

Per l'occasione la duchessa ha indossato l'abito "Sophia Visconti" in seta firmato Erdem dal costo di £ 1065, abbinato ad una borsa "Muse" in velluto blu di Russel & Broomley e scarpe Prada in velluto blu navy.
For the visit Kate wore the  £ 1065 "Sophia Visconti"  silk dress by Erdem, paired with her Prada navy suede pumps and a the matching "Muse" clutch by Russel & Broomley .

Kate al sesto mese di gravidanza ha anche avuto una bellissima notizia: proprio oggi è stata approvata la legge di successione con la quale l'Inghilterra abbandona la legge che impediva alle figlie femmine dei sovrani, in caso di presenza di fratelli maschi, di salire al trono.

La copia dev'essere molto intima della famiglia Middleton tanto che il padre di Kate, Michael ha addirittura accompagnato la sposa all'altare.

Innanzitutto mi scuso per il ritardo con cui aggiorno il blog ma stare dietro a tre cambi d'abito al giorno è davvero dura :-) soprattutto in un periodo come questo in cui a lavoro è un vero delirio..ma veniamo a noi!

Il secondo giorno a Singapore si è concluso per la Roayl Couple con un ricevimento presso l'Eden Hall sede della British High Commission. Qui la coppia ha assistito all'esibizione di un artista locale.

Ieri a Londra si è tenuta la celebre parata delle forse armate, Trooping the Colour che ogni anno coincide anche col (formale) Compleanno della Regina. Si perchè sebbene Elisabetta sia nata il 21 di Aprile, si è scelto di celebrare il suo compleanno pubblico "on a day when good weather is more likely", cioè in estate, quando il grigio tempo londinese dovrebbe essere più gradevole.
Yesterday in London took place the annual military parade  Trooping the Colour that every year marks also another important event, the Queen's (formal) Birtday. Formal beacuse Elizabeth was born the 21 April but they chose to celebrate publicly the event "on a day when good weather is more likely". 


Il Trooping the Colour commemora la preparazione alla battaglia, quando le bandiere "Colour" di ogni reggimento venivano "trooped" cioè schierate di fronte ai soldati così che potessero riconoscere le rispettive bandiere durante il combattimento.

Trooping the Colour reenacts the traditional preparations for battle in which flags of a regiment, or "colours," were "trooped" in front of soldiers to ensure they could recognize their respective flags during battle.

Per l'occasione Kate ha scelto un elegante abito color ghiaccio firmato Erdem ed impreziosito da ricami tono su tono.

Seduta durante il corteo sulla carrozza reale in compagnia del cognato Harry e della suocera Camilla, i capelli della bella Kate, di solito ordinati in perfetti boccoli, hanno subito le intemperie. Tanto che a quanto pare, arrivata a palazzo ha subito un ritocco dell'ultimo minuto prima di apparire al balcone di Buckigham Palace in tutto il suo splendore.

She followed the Royal Parade sharing the carriage with her mother in law Camilla and her brother in law Prince Harry. Kate's hair, usually perfectly curled, were messed up by the wind so it has been necessary a final retouch before the Balcony appareance at Buckingham Palace.

Lo scorso anno Kate sfoggiò un elegante e svolazzante cappottino bianco firmato McQueen e quando si affacciò al balcone a fianco del suo neo marito dall'uniforme rossa, il pensiero corse subito al recentissimo Royal Wedding tenutosi appena 2 mesi prima.

In 2011 Kate wore an elegant white Alexander McQueen coat for the same occasion and when she and Willian reached the Balcony, everybody immedfiately thought about their appareance on the Royal Wedding day that took place just 2 months earlier.

Allora che ne dite del look della nostra Kate? Vi è piaciuto o preferite quello sfoggiato l'anno scorso?
Personalmente trovo che i ricami del vestito siano un po troppo classici e invecchino il tutto. E sono d'accordo per quanto riguarda le critiche sul cappello piazzato decisamente troppo davanti agli occhi. Va comunque detto che la nostra sorridente Kate era adorabile come sempre.

Personally i think that the embrodied dress gives her a matronaly look and I do think that the hat was a little bit  too  far forward on her head. Besides that she was adorable and smiling as usual.
