Oggi il duca e la duchessa di Cambridge hanno sorpreso gli stessi organizzatori del London Poppy Day, una raccolta fondi a favore dei veterani di guerra del Regno Unito ed hanno raggiunto la stazione della metro di Kensington High Street in autobus creando scompiglio e regalando un sorriso ai fortunati che transitavano in quel momento nella stazione della tube.
Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have surprised even the organizers of the London Poppy Day, a fundraiser for War Veterans of the United Kingdom and reached the metro station to Kensington High Street bus creating havoc and giving a smile to the lucky passengers at that time in the tube station.

Era infatti previsto che la coppia partecipasse alla raccolta fondi e incontrasse membri dell'esercito ma non che si unisse alla comitiva di attori e supporters a bordo di un London Bus a due piani che ha toccato varie tappe della città.
Indeed, it was sheduled that the pair participated in the fundraising and met members of the army but not that the two joined the group of actors and supporters aboard of a London double-decker bus that has stopped at various stations of the city.

Il London Poppy Day è una momento importante della settimana della Commemorazione che culminerà con la cerimonia di domenica prossima del Remembrance Sunday, una ricorrenza molto sentita dal popolo Britannico durante la quale si rende onore ai caduti in guerra.

Il simbolo è proprio questo fiore rosso, il Poppy appunto, che con orgoglio moltissimi inglesi appuntano sul petto durante la settimana commemorativa.

William e Kate hanno avuto modo di chiacchierare e scherzare con le varie personalità incontrate. Hanno anche parlato del piccolo George che a quanto pare non sembra dare tregua ai neo genitori. E a giudicare dalla faccia segnata di Kate credo proprio che la coppia abbia tenuto fede all'intenzione di occuparsi personalmente del piccolo George.
William and Kate have had the opportunity to chat and joke with the various personalities encountered. They also talked about little George who apparently does not seem to give respite to the new parents. And judging by the scarred face of Kate I think that the couple has kept faith to the intention of personally take care of their baby George.

Si perchè seppure bellissima come sempre devo ammettere che la nostra Kate è apparsa un po giù di tono questa volta. Sarà stato l'Ami Coat LK Bennett riciclato dalla lunghezza a mio avviso penalizzante, i capelli trasandati con una messa in piega che ricorda molto il fai-da-te o la discutibile decisione di passare alla riga in mezzo fatto sta' che oggi la nostra Duchessa è apparsa un pochino meno "glowing" del solito.
Yes, because even though as beautiful as ever, I have to admit that our Kate appeared a little out of sorts this time. Was it the LK Bennett Ami Coat  recycled with that penalizing length or the little bit shabby hair with a hairdo that resembles the "do-it-yourself" or the questionable decision to move the part from the side to the middle  but that today our Duchess appeared a little less "glowing" than usual.

La nuova maternità deve aver assorbito molto le energie e il tempo della Duchessa che ultimamente sembra molto meno interessata all'apparenza di quanto non lo fosse stata finora: capelli un po troppo lunghi, colore sbiadito, look un po meno studiati del solito e un viso che denota una certa dose di stanchezza.
The new maternity must have absorbed a lot of  her energy and time and the Duchess seems much less interested in appearance than it had been so far: hair a little too long, faded color, her looks a little less studied than usual and a face which denotes a certain amount of fatigue.

Intendiamoci: io la adoro e la trovo stupenda ma la vedo molto molto stanca e forse anche un po troppo dimagrita. In fondo però questo la rende ai miei occhi più dolce e affascinante: anche lei è umana, anche lei a volte è stanca e forse anche lei in fondo è una mamma come tutte le altre.
Let's be clear: I love her and I find her beautiful but I see her very very tired and maybe even a little too thin now. In the end, however, this makes her look to my eyes even more sweet and charming: she is human, she is sometimes tired and maybe she is basically a mother like all the others.
