Oggi a Westminster si è svolta una cerimonia storica: i festeggiamenti per i 60 anni dell'incoronazione della Regina Elisabetta. Un traguardo davvero storico ed un evento speciale al quale hanno preso parte tutti i membri della Royal Family. Tra gli invitati c'erano anche tutte e 6 le ormai ottuagenarie dame d'onore che parteciparono alla cerimonia nell' ormai lontanissimo 1953.
Today in Westminster Abbey took place an historical event: the 60th anniversary of Queen's Coronation ceremony. A very special avent attended by all the member of the British Royal family. Among the people invited to the service there were also the 6 mades of honour that attended the Coronation by the Queen's in that far 1953.

In quell'occasione Elisabetta, nel fiore dei suoi 27 anni, ascese al trono dopo la prematura scomparsa del padre re Giorgio VI. Scintillante nel suo abito ricamato bianco con indosso una abbagliante quantità di gioielli, per ultimo ricevette la corona di Sant' Edoardo che ha cinto la testa di re e regine negli ultimi 350 anni e che  proprio per l'occasione è tornata a Westminster per la prima volta dopo 60 anni.
In that occasion Queen Elisabeth, in the blooming of her 27 years, became Queen after the premature death of her beloved father King Geroge VI. Sparkling in her white satin embroidered dress and  wearing a large number of  dazzling jewels, for last she received the most important one. The St Edward’s Crown  worn by Kings and Queens  for the last 350 years and that came back to the Abbey just today after 60 years.

Oggi come allora al suo fianco il Principe Filippo che dopo una lieve indisposizione che l'aveva impossibilitato a partecipare ad una cena di gala ieri sera, ha stupito tutti ed ha accompagnato la consorte alla funzione.

Prima della Regina sono stati i vari membri della Famiglia ad entrare a Westminster ed ovviamente tutti gli occhi erano puntati sull'ormai ben evidente pancione della duchessa di Cambridge, giunta all'ottavo mese di gravidanza.
Before the Queen, that reached the Abbey for last, all the members of the Royal Family arrived. As usual all eyes were on Kate and her 8 months bump.

Per l'occasione Kate ha scelto un abito ed un cappotto rosa pallido creati appositamente per le dalla raffinata Jenny Packham, stilista che ha vestito la Duchessa in diverse occasioni speciali. Gli accessori sono stati invece un azzeccato riciclo: cappellino in tinta firmato Jane Taylor e già sfoggiato alla cerimonia Saint Paul del Diamond Jubilee, le ormai iconiche decollete LK Bennett nude e pochette McQueen.
Carinissima l'acconciature e decisamente appropriati i gioielli di diamanti.
For the occasion she chose a pink pale bespoke dress and coat by Jenny Packham, the refined stylist that created other lovely pieces fo rthe Duchess in the past two years. She smartly accessorized the outfit with some recycled pieces: pink Jane Taylor hat already for the Jubilee service in Saint Paul, her iconic LK Bennett nude sledge, and McQueen clutch. 
She also chose a very nice hairstyle and elegant diamond jewels.

Nonostante manchi solo un mese alla nascita dell'erede reale Kate dovrebbe partecipare ad almeno un'altra uscita pubblica. Il prossimo 13 giungo sarà infatti madrina del varo della nave Royal Princess che si terrà nel porto di Southampton.

Even thought there just a month to go before the Royal birth the duchess should attend other engagements in the next days: on June 13th she will be ship's godmother and will name the Princess Cruises ship Royal Princess at a ceremony in Southampton.
